2006 To Be The Year of Robot Toys
Via GoRobotics.net - Apparently robot toys are gonna be really hot this Christmas season. This Associated Press story has more info. They say that 75% of new toys this year will have a computer chip inside (Pleo will have 8!). Other robotic offerings include, a life-size miniature robotic pony, a robot chimp, LEGO Mindstorms NXT, a robot baby doll, that “recognizes and responds to key words and phrases with lifelike facial expressions and real emotions,” and a dancing Barbie doll.
I still think Pleo looks the coolest.
